They arrived this weekend. Jose and Ted brought their work and this afternoon they unpacked it all in the space and it's wonderful. No words needed. Plus Craig and Luis were there to build the shelving for the wall of plates. A lot going on. All good. This week I'll paint the shelves and reorganize and bring more plates. Tomorrow Alex comes and we move stuff from the Harrisburg studio into the space. Will begin to see how all the tables will be spaced. Enough said. Here are photos.
Remember that banquet table at Second Seating? There were conversations overheard around that table and you can listen in with your copy of "Overheard at Second Seating." Preview this special little book's contents and order for gifts at www.blurb.com.
Second Seating: Where, When and What
Second Seating Yes, Second Seating is really over. Closed after Art Crawl on November 21.
However, if you find that you can't live without a painted plate, a coffee can chandelier or a totem made with cast off crockery, email me at mmh@mmhansen.com.
Second Seating was open September 25 - November 7, 2009 and for Art Crawl, November 21 at 20 N Chenevert in downtown Houston, just blocks from Minute Maid Park.
Downsized this year and an ensconced in a downtown mid-rise. I quite like my new place with its north light and its quiet.
Sweet family in the Pacific Northwest, you are in my thoughts. Wonderful friends in Houston, it is always time for a visit.,
